DJing since 1993 with his first Drum & Bass release in 1994 (Force Inc.), Based near Frankfurt, Germany, Mad Vibes is certainly not a newcomer. In 2001, he launched a Mastering Studio, working with artists such as Digital, A-Sides, Anthony Rother and more. In 2006, Tony established his own label, Sidechain-Music, and became a Resident DJ for the renowned Sun and Bass Festival, a role he has held down since then. Over time, Mad Vibes' music has been featured on various labels including Function, Dispatch, Formation, Ghetto Dubs with more big releases in the works. Backlash Records is thrilled to welcome this experienced frequency juggler to the family with a powerful four-track EP. The title track, ‘The Clash’, is uncompromising, with hard-hitting amens, a nasty Reese, and strong Lowe frequencies set to light up any dnb dance. 'Waterfall' rolls smoothly, paying homage to the early L Plates and Function Records sound, featuring a catchy hook, rhythmic drums, and resonating sub-bass. 'Waiting Game' entices the listener to anticipate the climax, offering a tantalising build-up before a powerful stab knocks heads. 'Foundation' is adorned with dub and jungle influences, perfectly concluding the EP with a great mix of what we refer to here at Backlash as 'Street Beats'. All four tracks seamlessly fit into a set, each uniquely captivating and engaging any audience!
